Returning to spirit (dying) is an experience common to each and every one of us, yet something our society leaves us completely on our own to manage. In this series of classes you will learn to understand conscious transition, how to prepare for it, cope with it, and integrate it into your life in a holistic manner. This course draws upon the research and wisdom of Elizabeth Kublar Ross; the insight of spiritual mediums, and the experiences of many others. For ages 18 + . Duration: 2 hours a week for 8 weeks or 1 hour a week for 12 weeks. My interactive journal and handbook, A Glorious Sunset, is included free of charge to all participants. Upon completion of the course, you will also receive certification.

I use Jitsi technology (it's like Zoom but there is more privacy with our encrypted servers), and will send you a link to join once you have signed up and paid. Cost for the course (regardless of how your participate) is $444 and includes a copy of my book.

MORE INFO: Although the physical aspects of dying may be diagnosed and treated with some skill, and the mental aspects with even less skill, the ills of the spirit are given little or no regard or skill whatsoever. Using journaling and a variety of tools both specific to the client's faith and other things like healing touch, music, guided prayer and meditation, aromatherapy, essences, crystals and more, my mission is to help those in the process of crossing over - as well as their loved ones - to experience a glorious sunset. Participants' physical, emotional, mental and spiritual needs are addressed using a non-clinical, intuitive approach. The focus is conscious transition and the four aspects of understanding, preparing, coping and integrating.

DEATH DOULA SERVICES: I can be a liaison to the participant and/or their family’s community of faith and work with other human service and community organizations as needed. I network with clergy and laity in the community to provide a complete spectrum of information about hospice or end of life care and engage them as partners in the care of patients and families. If the client and family do not have a religious affiliation but wish to receive spiritual or pastoral care, as a ULC ordained minister, I can provide for spiritual and religious support and services. I can participate as part of the hospice management team, providing leadership, team building, policy development, problem solving, and decision making, as requested or required. I can also help you or your loved ones create special gatherings, memorials, rituals and other events.
Since each person's situation is unique and I design my programs thusly, you may contact me for a free initial consultation. Please fill out the Contact Form with "LIF Classes" in the Subject box, along with the best way and time to reach you and I will be in touch. Thank you.

When we lose something we grieve - whether it be a loved one, a job, a home, the world we once knew...virtually, anything. Professional counseling can help but sometimes all we need is compassion, support and companionship. Techniques such as Reiki, the journal Seasons of Grief and other transformative material, can also help to provide comfort and relief at this tender time. In my sessions I combine all of the above (except counseling) to provide you with tools to help you grow and heal. Sessions can release blocks to the grieving process, which can be uncomfortable at first but afterwards leaves the feeling of shedding a cloak of despair. I usually recommend a full hour for this since sometimes it takes awhile for the blocks to move and let suppressed emotions flow.
Participants receive individualized and group support. Regular (weekly or bi-weekly) treatment sessions can be helpful at first, in order to keep moving in a forward direction. Sessions can be delivered via email, skype or in person, locally (see Calendar of Events). This is a very affordable, flexible, spontaneous and evolving program. Transformative by itself, it can also serve as a wonderful companion to the Grief Recovery process.
FOR INDIVIDUALS: Using the interactive book and journal, Seasons of Grief, we accompany you as you move at your own pace through your grieving "seasons". For $9.00/month you receive the book plus a 15-minute weekly video or phone chat session*, and 2 emails/week filled with follow-up exercises and support to the material in the book, current information, inspiring stories, links and more.
FOR GROUPS: Includes the book, email subscription and a weekly 30-minute group Zoom session for $5.99/month per device.
Please contact us for more information on how to begin this program.
NOTE: You can also purchase the book alone (once published) but a PDF version (e-book) is included at no extra charge with any monthly subscription, which you may cancel at any time by following the link provided in each email.
* Participation in video or audio events is always optional. You choose what level of participation that feels right for you, the price is the same.
In these sessions we use material from our retreats, workshops and the third journal in the series to explore the transition and grieving processes, what happens after we die, how we can stay connected to those who have crossed over and how to transform mourning into celebration. Our retreats and classes offer healing, sharing, connecting and the opportunity to see death/dying from a different perspective: the passageway between the physical world and the spiritual realm. When we hold death in a new way, we can experience it in a new way as well. A Call to Remembrance Journal and Handbook is included free of charge for all clients.
